The 35mm equivalent focal length is 36mm, which is a tad more than what is considered normal, so you will not be rushing backwards in order to recompose and fit the scene before you within your frame. The large f2.8 aperture provides excellent depth of field control and renders the lens useful for handheld endeavours, even in conditions of waning light.

Distortions, aberrations, flare and ghosting are all detriments that you can forget about for a while when shooting with this Fujifilm GF 45mm Lens. The optical construction that makes this so, includes one Aspherical and two extra-low dispersion elements, as well as the application of Fuji's Nano GI coating. Externally, this lens is well-suited to the GFX system, a rugged and reliable build with dust and weather-resistant qualities. A physical aperture ring makes quick exposure adjustments possible, while the included C position will allow for more basic, camera-based operation.
