Canon EOS 6D – A Full-frame sensor in a compact body
For years budding photographers had to face the reality that achieving the best results required heavy and bulky equipment and carrying something a little more portable would mean some sacrifice in quality. Thanks to the Canon EOS 6D, we now have a Full frame option that produces excellent picture quality and detail, while retaining a compact and lightweight form.
Ideal as the next step up for students or people on a budget, the 6D features a 20.2 MP Full-frame CMOS sensor and Canon’s renowned DIGIC 5+ Image processor, which team together to create highly detailed images at fast processing speeds, even in the darkest conditions.
The EOS 6D’s ISO range of 100-25600 makes it a useable handheld option in almost all conditions, reducing the need for a tripod and further increasing the portability of your camera kit. Thanks to the large sensor and processor you can feel confident to bump up the ISO when needed, without worrying about noise ruining your images.
You may still want to keep your tripod handy, as the 6D has built-in multiple exposure and HDR modes and is great for long exposures.
The Canon EOS 6D has built in Wi-Fi and GPS connectivity, allowing you to shoot remotely as well as Geotag and share your images.
Download the Canon EOS remote app on your smart device to see exactly what your camera is seeing, control the settings of the camera and then shoot!
This easy to use app opens you up to the world of remote shooting and when you are finished you can share the results straight back to your smart device.
For the first time ever in an EOS DSLR, the 6D features built-in GPS which can store the GPS information of the pictures you are taking for future reference and can also be used to Log your activity throughout your day of shooting, with the aid of Canon’s mapping utility.
