The Canon EOS C300 Mark II Cinema body features a Super 35mm CMOS sensor and Canon DIGIC DV 5 processor which allows it to render super-high quality 4K resolution video files. With Canon's Log 3 GAMMA, this camera can produce a whopping 14-stops of dynamic range, while dual pixel CMOS AF is also included, so the camera can track various subjects with speed and accuracy.

The Canon EOS C300 Mark II features a compact and modular design, which allows users to utilise a handle, 4" LCD unit with various controls, thumb rest and grip; this allows the camera to slot nicely into most professional workflows. Also notable is the EF lens mount, which renders it compatible with a range of high-end Canon cinema and EOS DSLR lenses. Advanced connections of this cinema camera include two 3G-SDI outputs, timecode I/O, and genlock input BNC.

The Canon EOS C300 Mark II includes a high-res EVF for those that prefer the eye-level style of composition. A range of external microphones can be mounted to the camera to boost the audio quality, thanks to a 3.5mm mic input on the body and the dual XLR inputs on the handle - these inputs provide both auto and manual gain control, so users have the power of sound in their hands if they wish to take it.
