Taking To The Skies - Raising Awareness for Prostate Cancer
Craig Robinson: Chasing the skies, epic photographs and a good cause.
Craig was diagnosed with an aggressive localised Prostate cancer at the age of 52. Now, at 54, he considers himself one of the lucky ones, who recognised the problem early and acted on it.
A keen pilot for many years, Craig will be flying around Australia, raising awareness for Prostate Cancer, men's health and the importance of regular check-ups for early detection.
Ted's is teaming up with Craig to help promote the cause. We've Kitted Craig out with the necessary gear so he can document his journey. You can follow Craig's story here...
About Craig's Cause
How were you inspired by the cause?
I'm inspired by the work of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in Have a Go for Prostate Cancer.
Tell us about you and the cause?
As I have had Prostate Cancer, this cause is very close to me. I’m flying solo around Australia to help raise awareness for Prostate Cancer, men’s health and the importance of regular check-ups as early detection is the key. If left unchecked Prostate Cancer can be deadly.
What's the aim of the trip?
The more people that know about the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!
How did Ted's support you?
I'm very excited to have the generous support of Ted’s Cameras and a big shout out to the CEO of Ted’s, Nic Peasley who have kitted me out with the latest GoPro 7 and a full range of accessories!
Stay tuned for some awesome aero footage around Australia
How can everyone contribute?
With a fundraising goal of $20,000, any support that you can provide Craig on his ‘My Horizon’ flight around Australia to raise awareness and funds to help reduce the impact of prostate cancer on Australian men and their families would be greatly appreciated.
When are you taking flight?
I will be posting my flight plan closer to my anticipated departure in May 2019.
Where can we keep updated?
Please visit my "Have A Go For Prostate Cancer" page, I will be posting regularly HERE
We heard you also have a page on the Prostate Cancer Foundation, what is it?
Yes, please visit www.pcfa.org.au/get-involved/events/find-an-event/craig-robinson-my-horizon-flight/
Where can we donate?
Please click the give now button on my have a go for Prostate cancer page. Anything is greatly appreciated
