The days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder, as a wise man once said... "Winter is coming"
But that doesn't mean you have to hibernate, cold weather opens up a world of photographic possibilities that summer denies us.
Getting up early for a foggy morning sunrise can give your landscape photos a dreamy ghostly look, frost adds new dimensions to everyday objects, frozen grass can become a crystal forest of icy reflections. All it takes is a little dedication (and some thermal underwear...).
In preparation for the cold weather, we’ve put together a collection of images from the web to get you started. Once you've been inspired, get out there, get shooting, and show us your winter wonderland!
