The Art of Street Photography

  Step into the heartbeat of the city and discover the extraordinary in the everyday.

  This isn’t your average photography workshop. It’s a creative exploration, a visual meditation, and a soulful adventure through Adelaide’s most character-filled laneways.

  Join us for a guided walk designed to sharpen your eye and slow your pace. With camera in hand, you’ll learn to see beauty in unnoticed corners, fleeting gestures, and quiet urban stories. From textured walls to passing strangers, light trails to overlooked details, you'll capture the poetry of daily life with new eyes.

  This is street photography with intention. It’s about dignifying the mundane, learning to observe deeply, and connecting with your surroundings through your lens.

  What will you learn

  • Get tips and tricks from a practicing street photographer

  • Engage in discussions of art and photography

  What to bring:

  • Your DSLR or Mirrorless camera and lenses (all brands welcome!) Don't forget to charge your batteries and bring spares

  • Memory card so you can keep your photos at the end of the workshop

  • Weather Appropriate Clothing and Footwear

  • Bottle of water and snacks

  Ted’s Camera Stores is committed to providing a COVID-safe environment for customers and staff at all times in-store and as part of our workshop experiences:

  • Workshops are operating at reduced capacity to ensure customer experiences are not overcrowded.
  • Workshop areas and demonstrational products are regularly sanitised.
  • If at any time rules or regulations are implemented by either Federal or State Governments (e.g. the use of face masks or social distancing requirements), you must adhere to these rules in order to participate in this workshop.

  • Workshops are operating at reduced capacity to ensure customer experiences are not overcrowded
  • Upon signing in for this event, you will be asked to sanitise your hands before handling demonstrational products
  • We encourage the use of face masks particularly in indoor settings, and if your state government requires their use at any given time, you must wear one in order to participate in this workshop
  • Social distancing measures are in place for all indoor workshops/experiences, and for outdoor workshops/experiences we strongly encourage social distancing where physically possible
  • There is strictly no sharing of demonstrational products - if you are allocated any demonstrational products to try, you must hand these back to your workshop trainer for cleaning before they can be given to another customer
