  Join Nikon and Ted's for a Vivid experience in Darling Harbour!

  Vivid Sydney returns in 2022 for 23 days of light, music and creativity across Sydney. Embark on a journey through the Vivid lights of the Darling Harbour precinct in Sydney CBD with Nikon and Ted's, and capture striking installations while testing and trying the powerful Nikon Z series along the way.  

  What you'll learn:

  • How to capture light in a night setting 
  • Understanding shutter speed (and how to use it for particular results)
  • How to create patterns with light (light painting)

  What you'll need:

  • If you have a camera, bring it along (regardless of brand - everyone is welcome!) Be sure to charge your batteries.
  • Nikon will supply a range of Z series cameras and lenses for you to test and try on the evening too
  • SD card with available space (so that you can keep your own photos from the evening)
  • Tripod (not essential, but useful if you have one!)
  • Weather appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes

  Meet outside The Hard Rock Cafe at the Harbourside Shopping Centre at 5.45pm - the group will start moving and commence the photo walk from 6pm.

  • Upon signing in for this event, you will be asked to sanitise your hands before handling demonstrational products
  • We encourage the use of face masks particularly in indoor settings, and if your state government requires their use at any given time, you must wear one in order to participate in this workshop
  • Social distancing measures are in place for all indoor workshops/experiences, and for outdoor workshops/experiences we strongly encourage social distancing where physically possible
  • There is strictly no sharing of demonstrational products - if you are allocated any demonstrational products to try, you must hand these back to your workshop trainer for cleaning before they can be given to another customer
