• Course Description

  Explore and capture some of Sydney CBD's renowned landmarks and locations, and further develop your photography skills in a creative way.

  Sydney is one of the greatest cities in the world, and it's CBD is a testament to just how diverse of a destination it truly is. With beautiful parks, fountains, gardens and landmarks, there is truly so much to appreciate and capture through your camera lens. 

  Join us for a walking tour through Sydney CBD, starting at the flagship Ted's World of Imaging store, and making our way through some of the cities most popular destinations. 

  Along the way, you will learn about landscapes, cityscapes and street photography. 

  We are forever learning with photography and these experiences give us the opportunity to work with you to help you gain a better understanding of your camera equipment, whether you are a beginner or more advanced and to hone your own personal style of photography.

  Topics Include:
  

  • Understanding your camera equipment
  • Shooting Modes - P, A (Av) S (Tv) & M
  • Understanding the use of light
  • Recognising Key points of interest & dynamic subjects
    
  • Composition

  What to bring:

  • Camera with a charged battery (and a spare if you have one)
  • Memory cards
  • Notebook & pen
    
  • Weather appropriate clothing and comfortable walking shoes

  
  

  Please note: This workshop is outdoors, and in the case of extreme weather, this course will be re-scheduled.

  To support a COVID-safe environment for staff and customers, please note the following:

  • At all times, you will be required to maintain a 1.5m distance from others in this workshop.
  • There is strictly no sharing of products and materials - you must use your own camera at all times, and your own pen and notebook. 
    
  • If the law of the state you are in requires the wearing of face masks in an indoor environment, you must bring your own mask and wear it for the duration of this workshop. Masks are not provided by our staff, and all Ted's Camera Stores locations strictly abide by the law as stated by Federal and State Government. 
  • Hand sanitiser is supplied in store at all times.

  • If at any time rules or regulations are implemented by either Federal or State Governments (e.g. the use of face masks or social distancing requirements), you must adhere to these rules in order to participate in this workshop.

  • Social distancing measures are in place for all indoor workshops/experiences, and for outdoor workshops/experiences we strongly encourage social distancing where physically possible
  • There is strictly no sharing of demonstrational products - if you are allocated any demonstrational products to try, you must hand these back to your workshop trainer for cleaning before they can be given to another customer
