PC–Free photograph printing

Simply insert your camera's memory card into the PictureMate 250's card slot and use the in–built 2.5 inch LCD viewer and straightforward control panel to view, select and print your photographs.

Add in the optional Lithium–Ion (Li–Ion) rechargeable battery, and it's easy to see why the PictureMate 250 is the perfect photo printing solution for any situation.

You can even access your photographs using PictBridge and USB Direct Print enabled cameras and making it even more flexible and compatible with today's lifestyle is the optional support for Bluetooth. With this, your PictureMate 250 can connect wirelessly to a Bluetooth compatible device – such as a mobile phone – and print your photos without waiting.

With a maximum resolution of 5760 Optimised dpi (when connected to a PC) using Resolution Performance Management (RPM) technology, the Epson PictureMate 250 generates outstanding quality photo prints using ink droplets as tiny as 2pl.

The PictureMate 250 has been designed specifically to make quality photograph printing – as easy as possible. With features such as true BorderFree photographs, where the photograph is printed right to each edge of the photo paper, along with ink dots so small that they're at the limit of human visibility, the PictureMate 250 is an amazingly powerful printer.

Epson's PicturePack is an economical and convenient pack that contains a single photo cartridge and photo paper to print 150 glossy 4 x 6" photos. With an RRP of $42.49 including GST for the PicturePack, the price for a photo printed from the PictureMate 250 rivals traditional photo processing costs at just over 28 cents per photo.

It's for that reason the PictureMate 250 features a range of innovations that make photo printing something that almost anyone can now accomplish.

Auto picture display: As soon as a memory card is inserted in the PictureMate 250's memory card slot, the unit automatically retrieves the files and displays the first one on the in–built two–inch colour LCD.

Simplified control panel: Forget about complex operations. With the PictureMate 250 control panel, selecting, viewing, and printing photographs is a simple fingertip operation.

Bundled software: When the PictureMate 250 is connected to a PC or Apple computer, a range of bundled software makes printing, managing and editing your photographs incredibly easy.

Photographs in 42 seconds

At the touch of a button, the PictureMate 250 can deliver photo lab quality prints in 42 seconds.

Underpinning the printer's ability to achieve such high print time performance is a combination of Epson inkjet photo printing technologies – such as the MicroPiezo print head, which exerts exceptional levels of control over ink droplet formation and positioning.

This technology combination also features Epson's widely acclaimed Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), which enables the print head to generate five different sized ink droplets, with the smallest being used for fine detail in the photograph and the larger sizes for areas of solid colour.
