Due to the design of the DiMAGE A1/A2 and the Dynax 5D/7D it is not possible to use them with AA cells with Mignon-accumulators as it is possible with different DiMAGE cameras.However, in conjunction with the battery-grip BP-400 (DiMAGE A1/A2 only) it is possible to alternatively use AA rechargeables.The NP-400 cell has a very high capacity despite its compactness and delivers the very long operation time of the DiMAGE A1/A2 and the Dynax 5D/7D.
You get an NP-400 and charger supplied with a DiMAGE A1/A2 or the Dynax 5D/7D. By obtaining a second cell, which can be charged in not much more than an hour, continuous operation of the DiMAGE A1/A2 or the Dynax 5D/7D is possible by charging one cell while the other is in use.
When travelling, where recharging would be impossible, you should consider taking an even greater number of charged NP-400s with you, to always have one fully charged, ready for unexpected subjects
