
Support for Firewalls
A Firewall is a protective boundary that monitors and restricts information that travels between your computer and a network or the Internet. There are many types of firewalls that exist.
You will have to allow Home Ordering to get past the firewall to work. Your firewall may try to block Home Ordering. Please check your firewall setting to allow Home Ordering to access the network.
Below is a list of the most common Firewalls. Please select your firewall from the list for further instructions.

Microsoft Windows XP FireWall
Windows Firewall is a protective boundary that monitors and restricts information that travels between your computer and a network or the Internet. If you have windows XP you will have windows you will have Windows Firewall. Windows firewall can block Photo.Teller Home Ordering access to the internet. You will need to change some setting in the windows firewall before Photo.Teller Home Ordering will work.
Just follow these simple instructions below.
How to allow Home Ordering to get past the firewall To open Windows Firewall
- Click Start and then click Control Panel
- In the Control Panel, click Windows Firewall
- Alternatively, click Windows Security Center then Windows Firewall
From here you have access to the features of Windows Firewall.
How Windows firewall works with Home.Ordering When someone on the Internet or on a network tries to connect to your computer, Windows Firewall will attempt to block the application. If you run a program like Home Ordering the firewall will ask if you want to block or unblock (allow) the connection. You should see a window like the one displayed below.

If you choose to unblock the connection, Windows Firewall creates an exception and allows you to run Home Ordering. The next time you run the software Windows firewall won't show the Sercurity Alert for Home Ordering again.
Unblocking programs that the firewall has locked out If you choose to keep blocking the Home Ordering Uploader, you will not be able to upload your order to the store. Or if in the past you chose the option " Keep Blocking" you will need to undo this.
To unblock this, go back to Windows Firewall and click the Exceptions tab at the top. Put a tick in the box next to HomeOrderUpload to stop blocking this program and click OK. You will now be able to upload your photos. See the image below

Zone Alarm Software Just follow these simple instruction below to allow Home Ordering to Run under Zone Alarm.
How to allow Home Ordering to get past the firewall To open Zone Alarm c lick Zone Alarm on the Task Bar to gain access to your settings. From here you have access to the features of Zone Alarm
How zone alarm works with Home Ordering When someone on the Internet or on a network tries to connect to your computer, Zone Alarm will attempt to block the application. If you run a program like Photo.Teller Home Ordering the firewall will ask if you want to block or unblock (allow) the connection. You should see a window like the one displayed below. It will appear on the bottom right hand side of your screen.

If you choose to allow the connection, Zone Alarm creates an exception and allows you to run Photo.Teller Home Ordering Program. The next time you run the software Zone Alarm won't show the Security Alert for Home Ordering again.
Unblocking programs that the firewall has locked out If you choose to keep blocking the Home Ordering Up loader, you will not be able to upload your order to the store. Or if in the past you chose the option " Deny" you will need to undo this.
To unblock this, go back to Zone Alarm by clicking on its icon on the task bar. Select Program control button as shown below.

You will need to select the tab marked "Programs".A list of the programs that Zone Alarm Blocks will appear on the list. One of these is Order Prints. AS shown in the example below. You can see that Order Prints is blocked and is untrusted for accessing the internet.

Select the order prints line and right click. Select Allow as indicated by a tick. You will need to do this for both Access and Server.

Your Screen should look like the image below. You can then close Zone Alarm and try to restart Order Prints.
