Capture large groups with a wide-angle lens, intelligent zoom and resolution

The DMC-FH2 features a 28 mm wide-angle, 4x optical zoom Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens (35 mm camera equivalent: 28-112 mm). The lens lets you easily capture large groups of people indoors or expansive architectural structures. The 4x optical zoom lens captures beautiful shots of people or landscapes with 14.1 megapixel resolution. With the Intelligent Resolution technology, three areas (outlines, detailed texture areas and soft gradation areas) are automatically detected. Apart from the uniform enhancement of sharpness, this technology precisely performs signal processing pixel by pixel in the most effective way according to the area. As a result, images are clear and crisp. The Intelligent Zoom extends zoom ratio by approximately 1.3x , while the 4x zoom can virtually extend to 5x equivalent.

Intelligent Auto ensures perfect shots every time

In iA (Intelligent Auto) mode, advanced detection functions work automatically and simultaneously to optimise your settings, making it easier than ever to take beautiful photos every time. iA mode includes MEGA OIS to detect hand shake, Intelligent ISO Control to detect subject movement and Face Detection Auto Focus/ Auto Exposure (AF/AE) to detect faces in the frame. AF Tracking continually tracks a moving subject and keeps it in focus, Intelligent Scene Selector works to detect scene conditions and Intelligent Exposure detects the brightness level.

A powerful optical image stabiliser ensures blur-free images

The MEGA OIS (Optical Image Stabiliser) feature compensates for the blurring caused by hand shake so you get clear, sharp images at the release of the shutter. The MEGA OIS lets you shoot in dimly lit rooms or evening light to preserve the mood and works for macro shots and zoom shots, which are especially susceptible to hand shake.

Create high definition movies and then upload to your favourite social networking site

Record motion pictures in high definition (1,280 x 720 pixels at 30 fps in motion JPEG format). The DMC-FH2 can also upload movies and photos to YouTube and Facebook. All you have to do is checkmark the photos and movies you want to share and connect the camera to your computer. Uploading automatically starts just by following the onscreen instructions. With operation this easy, you can instantly share your photos and movies with your family and friends all over the world.
