Nikon Coolpix L120

For the first time in my whole life I finally have a great camera to take beautiful photos of my family and friends. I recieved it just in time for the birth of my new daughter. thanks again ted's cameras.

Easy to use. Takes excellent photos very happy with purchase. Had great service from sales lady in store who offered lots of good advice.

A very nice machine with loads of useful easy menu features. Love the weighted fit to your hand for a nice steady shoot even on video in sports mode. I am probably being harsh on the video battery life as it is doing loads of work. It is the batteries that are the problem not the camera. Love the continuous sports mode. Gives excellent results in fast moving targets.

A good camera for amateur photographers wanting a bit more zoom. All my photographs were blur free even at full zoom. AA battery life can be a bit short when using the zoom but when travelling overseas it's often easier to find replacement batteries than somewhere to plug in a charger. For the relatively low price I'm very pleased with the results.

Easy to use and good for the beginner

Bought this camera to take on Safari in Africa and absolutely loved it. Very easy to use, medium sized build and the picture quality is excellent. If you're looking for a travel camera, and don't want something too expensive or complicated, this is brilliant. The zoom is excellent also. The only negative, is that it takes 4 AA batteries, but if you get a decent brand of rechargable batteries there's no problem with that either.

This is the best camera I have ever had, it so easy to use, I am hard pushed to use it as my wife wants use it all the time. It is unbelievable how it takes photos in low light without the flash. The movie function is great, we have been able to take movie clips of our trips, when we forward photos to family and friends it really gives meaning to where we are.

Usually when I travel I lug about an SLR with zoom lens. Now I just have the L120 and it's a dream. Plenty of zoom (I like taking shots of architectural details high up on cathedral ceilings, for example), sophisticated auto settings, and the ability to manage settings yourself if you wish.
Feels like a real camera in the hand too, but without being too heavy.
It's great that it takes AA batteries, because they are readily available everywhere (and I've been stuck before searching for an obscure lithium battery in the backblocks of Turkey) but it does chew through them if you take a lot of photos and use the zoom. That means either buying in bulk, or travelling with a recharger.

I bought this camera about two months ago and I've now sold it on eBay, as the shutter speed is just ridiculously slow. I tried to get some nice shots of my 10 month old nephew but the majority of the photos were blurred - he wasn't even moving all that much!

If the ISO had been better on this camera, I would've rated it highly, but I worry about trying to get decent shots with such a poor shutter speed.

A good camera for anyone who doesn't like to hear the 'click' as soon as they hit the shutter.
