With the introduction of the Picsio WP10 we have a pocket video that is not only waterproof to 3 metres but with a 3” touch screen that makes an impressive new release. The WP10 is incredibly simple to use. You can command the camera with a simple icon touch on the screen to record or playback. Should the need arise you can also use the WP10 to simply record audio. The fact that the WP10 is waterproof adds an incredible amount of potential for fun, especially in the warmer months, plus the chance to capture some amazing footage!

Since PICSIO is touch-panel controlled, you just touch the icon graphics to intuitively operate everything from recording to playback. Works even with gloves on! The 3" large screen offers comfortable viewing during playback.

PICSIO’s CMOS image sensor captures JPEG stills at up to 5-megapixel native resolution without interpolation. It also records up to 1920x1080P Full HD video with image stabilization for enjoyment on an HDTV via HDMI output. A 4x digital zoom and a variety of shooting modes are provided. With PICSIO’s superior low-light sensitivity, you can capture beautiful images even in low light. No worry while indoors or in dark situations.

Time-Lapse Recording captures video at an interval you choose. This way you can condense an hour-long event into just a few seconds. Try it on anything, and turn everyday scenes into fun videos like you’ve never seen before.

GC-WP10 comes with a MP3 audio recorder to capture everything from lectures to jam sessions in stereo.

LoiLoScope EX has direct menus for upload to YouTube™ or Facebook in just a few simple steps. There are also options for exporting data to your iTunes® library, or outputting for DVD creation.

Not bad is the best way to sum up the Picsio WP10. It's simple, compact and has a decent battery life. The sound quality (tested at a Foo Fighters concert of all places) was surprisingly good and in my opinion outstrips the image quality.

The biggest issue for mine is the zoom. One day digital zoom may prove the equal of optical zoom, but that is certainly not the case on the WP10. Tests in still and video mode both produced poor enough results that I am unlikely to use this function at all in the future.

A small nuisance is that the battery recharge time proved far greater than the 'approx. 3 h' the manual states. The battery life is decent, but recharge time outstrips the battery life by a fair margin.

All in all, a decent little pocket camcorder but not without its flaws.
