A normal focal length, but above-normal quality
One of the most popular lenses in the Fuji X-series lineup, the 35mm f1.4 R is a well-built ‘standard’ length lens with excellent optical performance. The 35mm equivalent focal length is a little more than 50mm, suitable for general purpose photography and a favourite for creating a one-lens kit for travel, portraiture and more. The bright maximum aperture of f1.4 keeps you shooting blur-free images in all lighting conditions and also helps you to create incredibly shallow depths of field. For portraits, you can easily frame your model’s face as the key and central feature of your picture, with everything else reduced to a featureless blur.
In keeping with the characteristics of the Fuji X-series cameras, the 35mm f1.4 R lens keeps things simple with a firm foot in the past world of classic camera lenses. Solid yet lightweight, this lens features a metal lens barrel and it feels fabulous in the hand. An easy to access aperture ring enables you to quickly make adjustments to the aperture in ⅓ increments for premium control overexposure.
