This camera is smaller enough to fit into my purse. As a non technical person I found this camera easy to use and I have had a lot of fun with the panoramic and under water modes.

Bought this for my teenage daughter as she wanted a camera that could take a few knocks. Less than 3 months old and the camera died after a trip to the beach. Had to wait 5 weeks for a replacement camera. She took the new one kayaking and it has now died - it let water in even though it only just went in (water was less than 2m and the camera was nowhere near the bottom). Have an extended warranty but I don't think the camera will last the standard warranty. Not a wise purchase.

Not only couldn't I get the software to down load successfully after multiple attempts, the camera takes terrible photos. The only way to get the photos off the camera was via Windows Explorer as the software won't work. Chewed up all my download in a few afternoons of trying to get it to work... why it thinks the database version on my CD is more up to date than what is on the web I'll don't understand. After my daughter took our Canon for a swim I thought we should child proof against future occurences by getting a water proof one.... Little did I think to practise with it in the shop before I took it home. First photos I tried to take were at a gymanstics competition... it was on auto - tried a few things... still blurred out of focus shots. Birthday party photos no good. Gave up and used my iPhone instead. Now we have a pretty blue thing that is good for nothing. So I can't tell you about battery life or screen size because it is really not used. If I had the money I would go back to the Canon. At least a camera that is used to death but gets wet every 5 years is better than one that is never used at all. NOTE to self... Never buy a camera without snapping some photoes in the shop.

The Camera is good but I have found out the battery can go in both ways and if in the wrong way you will think that it is flat. Still a bit nervous to give drop it or go swimming with it yet

The Fuji Finepix XP30 is a great camera, it can be used in any lighting, day or night, inside or outside. It can also be used underwater and all the pictures come out great quality. It's easy to use and small so you can take it pretty much anywhere you want to go. It comes with a range of settings and allow you to either make the adjustments you want, or you can keep it on SR Auto and it will do the work for you. I recommend this camera for anyone who wants an easy to use camera that takes great pictures for a great price!

We used this camera for the first term on our overseas trip and were very impressed with the ease of picture taking and the robustness of the camera. It was used n a variety of conditions and always produced top quality results. The battery life allowed for use over a four day and night bike ride where continuous pictures were taken in variety of weather condition and light readings. The only small issue was the need to release the battery to remove the memory card for downloading. This can be avoided if the download cable is available.
