Powerful 15x Zoom with New IS and Hybrid AF
Optimal image quality through Fujifilm's unrelenting supportive functions with Fujinon Lens.
15x Optical Zoom in a Compact Body
Highly Regarded by Professionals World-wide
Acclaimed Fujinon lens technology packs both the power of 15x zoom and the versatility of a super-wide angle lens in one stylishly compact body. Zoom in and capture distant subjects in gorgeous detail with the award-winning sensor.
Fujinon Optical Excellence
Acclaimed by imaging professionals, Fujinon molds its high-precision aspheric lenses from extra-low dispersion glass to deliver superior resolution and low color aberration, and applies an originally developed Super Electronic Beam Coating to minimize ghosting, flare and purple fringe. Using these high-quality lens elements, new “Double Sliding Structured Lens” engineering fits the sharpest, clearest 15x zoom in its class and super-wide angle 24mm* versatility into the slim 32.6mm body of FinePix F300EXR.* Equivalent on 35mm camera
New Double Sliding Structured Lens Technology
Fujinon's new Double Sliding Structured Lens Technology empowers you with both 15x zoom and 24mm super-wide angle in a stylish pocket-sized compact. Twelve lens elements smoothly telescope and slide into position to bring you closer to your subject for shots like never before.
Hybrid Auto Focus
Enhanced with built-in phase detection pixels, Super CCD EXR is the first sensor in the world with both contrast and phase detection auto focus. F300EXR harnesses this power with an innovative hybrid AF system that intelligently selects between the two focus systems. In most scenes and especially dark scenes, conventional Contrast AF captures beautiful results, but struggles to find a focus when shooting high-contrast subjects or with a long zoom. Only F300EXR with Hybrid Auto Focus can instantly switch to the speed and accuracy of Phase Detection AF for these scenes. Even at maximum 15x zoom when subject is moving and the moment is fleeting, you won't miss the shot!
Hybrid Auto Focus System
Phase detection sensor pairs on the EXR sensor work like the sensors of a DSLR. Unlike slower Contrast AF which continually adjusts until maximum contrast is detected. Phase Detection AF divides incoming light into image pairs, performs a single calculation of the phase difference to determine the precise direction and amount of focus adjustment achieving an incredible auto focus detection speed of 0.158* seconds.

Intelligent IS (Image Stabilization) for Blur-free Results
Longer zoom magnifies not only the image, but also blur-causing hand shake. Featuring an improved gyro stabilization system, Intelligent I.S. not only improves correction for "quick and short" vibrations caused by shaky hands, but also is very responsive to "big and slow" movement like body sway. Especially shooting night portraits with long zoom, Intelligent I.S. enables shooting at lower sensitivity and slower speeds for blur-free photos with silky smooth gradation and minimal noise.
High Sensitivity ISO12800
With maximum sensitivity of ISO12800*, photos appear natural and more true to life even with limited available light. High sensitivity also stops the action of high-speed moving subjects.* At ISO12800 and ISO 6400, number of recorded pixels is limited to [S]. At ISO3200, number of recorded pixels is limited to [M]. At full resolution (12 megapixels), sensitivity is limited to a maximum ISO1600 or lower.
3.0-inch High Contrast LCD
With ultra-wide view angle of 160° you can hold the camera high or low to frame your shot. Later let everyone gather around to enjoy the results on the large 3.0-inch high-contrast (1100:1 ratio), high-resolution 460,000-pixel display.
Intuitive Control Palette
The FinePix F300EXR delivers a powerful array of functions and features in a slim dynamic design. The sleek form molds to your hand with all buttons and controls just where your fingers expect them to be.

The first reviewer summed up the problems we have had with this camera. The photo quality is awful for indoor shots, extremely pixelated/grainy photos, no adjustment in any of the settings could fix it. We also got a flash shadow mostly all of the photos that used the flash. Unfortunately we moved interstate where there are no Ted's shops and we couldn't return the camera within the year, however we will be selling this camera and DEFINITELY be going back to using Olympus'!

I purchased this camera hoping that it would be capable of taking photos of my honeymoon, and general family snapshots. Whilst the camera is fantastic for outdoor photography, no amount of adjustment resulted in satisfactory indoor photos or any photos where light was anything less than perfect. All the variations of the auto and EXR modes resulted in poor photos indoors even in places that were well lit. The flash is insufficient and the photos taken with it are excessively grainy.
Even my old Olympus 3.2 mg pixel camera takes better photos in most circumstances. When i sent the camera back to Fuji they said it was functioning perfectly.
I ended up returning the camera as it does not perform at a level even close to the advertised specification and Ted's staff were very helpful in returning the camera and choosing a new one.

A compact, easy to use camera which is lacking a manual view finder for days when the sun makes it difficult to see the screen. Great definition in the pics. Becomes heavy by the end of the day in a shoulder bag, but not a weight problem in a backpack. Am really happy with my purchase & my pics!

I have owned this camera for a little over 5 months now and have used it for mainly concerts and general shots one might take during holidays i.e. landscapes.
Admittedly it's a little on the bulky side, but this is easily forgiven considering it has a very versatile lens; 24-360mm equivalent.
The lens alone is only part of the story, as the camera has a couple of functions which helps the user better utilise it.
The Face Detection used in-conjunction with the available zoom is a real gem at concerts, allowing the user to take clear shots of the subject's face even though they might be moving around.
On the other hand the Motion Panorama allows the user to take panoramic photos by simply sweeping the camera horizontally (or vertically), a very useful function for general landscapes.
Picture quality is very good for a compact, with good colour reproduction in daylight.
In lower light situations the camera continues to perform admirably, only dropping slightly in quality.
All the buttons are well placed and spaced. With well laid out menus- it is quite intuitive to use.
My only gripe with this camera is the time in which it takes to start-up and save pictures. While it is by no means slow, I have tested cameras which were faster.
Overall, I have been very pleased with the performance of this camera and it's versatility. I have no reservations in recommending it to anyone who is looking for the one camera that can do it all.
