The lightning-fast aperture of the Sigma 18-35mm enables you to shoot at fast shutter speeds, no matter what your focal length, resulting in reduced camera shake and controlled depth of field. Not a common trait in a standard zoom lens, you can now shoot a stunning portrait with only your model in sharp focus. To further assist you down this path is a nine-blade circular aperture diaphragm, which assures all of your out-of-focus areas are of a beautiful appearance, with no distracting qualities.

Sigma’s excellent Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) makes another welcome appearance, resulting in focus that is accurate and importantly, fast and quiet. This focus motor is excellent for capturing moving objects and also for filming ideas - a common requirement of a modern DSLR lens.

Optically the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 HSM lens has been constructed to handle all conditions and offer you the absolute best of performance. A wide glass molded aspherical lens has been used with Special Low dispersion glass - what this means is the lens has been built to reduce common nasties, such as aberrations and distortions. A durable lens, it has been built using Thermally Composite material which maintains a sturdy build, while remaining as compact and lightweight as possible.
