About Us
40 years of Ted’s
Back in 1970 when Ted opened the doors of his first camera shop, Polaroid was still making news with instant cameras that featured self-developing film. Over the last 40 years we've seen a lot of technology come and go. But one thing has remained constant, Ted’s commitment to bring you the best - the best cameras and accessories from around the world, the best range possible and the best service and knowledge. It’s an on-going commitment that I’m proud to say has seen Ted’s become the place where Australia shops for cameras. I ask you to join us in celebrating Ted’s 40th birthday and hope you continue to enjoy shopping at Ted’s for many years to come.
Yours sincerely Richard Robertson Managing Director
Ted’s Guarantees
We often think of loyalty cards or rewards cards as something retailers came up with in recent times. However, when it comes to providing customers with added value, Ted’s has always been way ahead of its time. Our first loyalty card, the Club Ted Card, was introduced way back in the 70’s and continues to offer today’s customers substantial savings and benefits. The 70’s and 80’s also saw Ted’s introduce groundbreaking guarantees. The exclusive 14 day exchange guarantee that we have today, for instance, has been reassuring customers at Ted’s for decades. Combined with our 14 day price guarantee, it ensures that when you buy from Ted’s, you’ll always get the right camera at the right price. For total peace of mind, we also offer extended warranties on any camera we sell. In short, when you buy a camera from any one of Ted’s 22 stores, your happiness is guaranteed.
